2016LYFE [smokedope2016] + [ghostfacekush] + [BARTESIANWATER]

Somewhere between SoundCloud rabbit holes, 240p YouTube uploads, 4am Discord links and the darker corners of the internet, 2016LYFE was born. Now, the internet-bred collective is making its way to Australia for the first time this December, bringing three of its names - smokedope2016, ghostfacekush and BARTESIANWATER - down under. At the centre of the Australian debut is smokedope2016, making his first-ever appearance on Australian soil. His music lives somewhere between blown-out bass, sparkling synths, divine vocal samples and lyrics that swing from drug-fuelled flexes to genuine emotional damage. His latest record, THE COMEDOWN, completes a trilogy that began with 2024’s THE COMEUP and continued through 2025’s THE PEAK. Across the record, Smokedope turns the mythology of internet rap inward. The drugs are still there. The money is still there. The flexes are still there. But so are the consequences. It’s cloud rap with the lights switched on. Joining him is BARTESIANWATER, a key producer and collaborator within the 2016LYFE world and instrumental to the sound of THE COMEDOWN, helping shape its warped, weightless production and hazy atmosphere. Fellow 2016LYFE artist ghostfacekush completes the lineup, bringing another piece of the collective’s strange, internet-born universe to Australia for the first time. 2016LYFE - AUSTRALIA - DECEMBER 2026 Tickets on sale now.
